Fifty master-level swimmers are stripping down to their speedos and plunging in the Great South Bay for the fifth annual Stonewall Swim on August 3rd, 2013 to raise funds for Stonewall Community Foundation. This exciting and challenging 5K open-water swim launches from Sayville and ends on the deck of Ali Momtaz and Geo Higgins’s stunning home on Fire Island Pines.

Get involved by supporting the Swim! You can click on the link below to sponsor a swimmer or you can just make a general donation to the event which will send a strong message of support to all swimmers jumping into the water that day.

Your support of the Stonewall Swim will resonate throughout the LGBT community as proceeds will fund such innovate programs as the Stonewall Institute, Out in Front New York, and Stonewall Quarter Share.

The Stonewall Swim is a fun, healthy and innovative fundraiser for the LGBT community of New York. The goal is to build tighter ties within our community while fostering greater self-confidence through sports and recreation. Last year, the Stonewall Swim raised more than $100,000 in support of Stonewall’s vital work. This year our swimmers, kayakers, and friends from all walks of life hope to double their fundraising efforts.

“The inspiration for many of us lies in combining our passion for swimming and sport with our desire to benefit a group like Stonewall that provides grants to so many LGBT community organizations,” said Bradley Matthews, a Stonewall Swim participant and donor.
